The outdoor sunblinds, such as blinds and shadings, cover the facades of public buildings and private residences, characterizing them in style and functionality.
The modern sunblinds play an important aesthetic role. The contemporary response to the need for well-being and shelter from the sun’s rays gives rise to refined and sometimes original solutions.
Thanks to them we create intimate corners and relaxing atmospheres capable of enhancing the intrinsic beauty of the buildings.
At the center of our attention are living comfort, customer satisfaction and collaboration with architects and designers.
In this case, the outdoor sunblinds play a fundamental role in the aesthetics of the buildings and in guaranteeing an optimal and relaxing atmosphere.
Sunblinds offer several advantages compared to shutters and blinds.
In Italy they arrived later than in other countries, but today they represent a much more appreciated system than traditional blackout methods. More advanced are countries such as Switzerland, Germany and Northern Europe which for years have chosen them as a blackout system for homes and offices.
Innovative and modern, sunblinds are one of the most adopted solutions by architects in buildings or apartments with low energy consumption. In fact, they allow for better control and use of solar radiation.
They are designed to modulate the sunlight, which never completely leaves the rooms, but pervades them at different degrees of intensity that can be modulated through manual or motorized adjustments.
The aluminum louvers that compose them are shaped to make them more rigid and better reflect the sun’s rays.
Their use is indicated in homes and offices, especially where there are large windows.
They give the possibility to modulate their angle of orientation to the sun so as to perfectly regulate the entry of light.
Outdoor sunblinds are highly performing.
Based on the size and requirements, we design sunblinds with manual or automated handling, with hardware designed and built entirely within our company’s workshops, using the latest generation materials and components.
Together with the designer, we identify the size and shape of the ideal louvers, which allow the best passage of light, according to optical, luminous and energetic parameters. All this does not distract us from the usual attention to aesthetics, so we create unusual movements and new shapes and harmonies on the facade. Thanks to the sunblinds we dress the buildings with an innovative dynamism, in which the houses become active tools in the search for the well-being of those who live there.
We love to take as an example the sunblinds conceived for a private residence built with the architect Recchi a few years ago. Energy efficiency and harmony meet on their red cedar cladding with automated, knee-folding, pivoting and sliding panels. In addition, the house is equipped with a solar control system that aims at an ecological vision of the building. It has a motorized opening, which guarantees maximum functionality.
There are different types of outdoor shading. The idea of these discrete shelters comes from the mashrabiye, a place chosen to allow sunlight to filter mildly into the houses and enjoy the coolness even on sunny afternoons in the southern Mediterranean countries. The structure that constitutes the original mashrabiyas is nothing more than a set of grating lines arranged in elaborate compositions, as a cover for small balconies. Their function is not only to maintain the optimal temperature inside the houses, but also to protect the interiors from prying eyes, giving the house the necessary privacy to enjoy moments of relaxation. Mashrabiya comes from the Arabic word shrab, which means to drink. In fact, in them the hot hours of the day were spent and still are spent sipping refreshing drinks and talking with family members.
Letting ourselves be inspired by the search for a living comfort coveted by every person at every latitude, fascinated by the beauty of casket-like facades, we have chosen to develop new visions of protection from the sun’s rays, creating various types of shading. Different from a purely oriental style, we make each of our shading a modern and functional element able to give personality to the facade.
So we create many types of outdoor sunblinds, which have diversified opening systems based on design needs:
Surely, among the many types, the most scenic, the knee-fold opening creates architectural plays on the façade and offers a shelter from sunlight. It offers maximum aesthetic performance on buildings with large surrounding spaces, which allow you to enjoy the curious opening of the panels. When the sunshades are closed, the building appears protected by a veil capable of protecting the interiors from heat and creating the optimal thermal condition inside.
The tilting aluminum shading has a dual function: it protects the interiors from solar radiation and enlivens the exteriors, transforming from a linear facade to a lively alternation of shapes. This is why it is particularly suitable for low buildings with a garden, where you can enjoy the shade gained from the open sunblind even outside.
The sliding sunshades can be with spaced louvers or with a blind panel. The latter is certainly a more radical choice, which leaves the house enveloped in daylight and fully protects it when the panel is completely closed, during moments of rest. They are perfect for the most exposed parts of the house, for an area used for relaxation or in spaces projecting onto shared or passage areas, such as the room overlooking the swimming pool or solarium.

Finally pivoting, it is certainly an important outdoor shading. When designed for large glazed surfaces and with large spaces for opening, it offers a strong visual impact. Among the various types of shadings, it needs spaces that contrast its large dimensions.
