Immersed in the stillness of the gardens of Villa Borghese, only a few steps away from the vibrant heart of the Italian capital, the Hotel “Eden” offers it guests an enchanting view on the city of Rome. For the panoramic roof terrace, which comprises a bar area and a restaurant, Capoferri engineered an innovative, automated opening, consisting of a combined pivot&lift movement, driven by a concealed mechanism controlling the opening and closing of the window sash. A completely hidden structure, carefully fine-tuned by the Capoferri Lab, merges design intent, aesthetics, safety requirements and ease-of-use. A specially designed mechanism on the sash allows to open the windows even with the sun-shading rolled down. The Bar area is covered with a glazed roof on a thermally broken support structure. A thin layer of water gently flows down the glazed surface and provides cooling as well as creating a unique atmosphere from where to admire the ineffable skyline of the eternal City.
