wooden and metal
frames

The “Serrabito” (wood/metal clad) is used to build bespoke windows such as casement , tilt-turn, lift&slide, horizontal pivots, vertical pivots, vertical sliding, knee-fold, tilting, in-ground sliding, fold&slide, foldable vertical pivots … and more. They can be manual or automated, built to specification. The wooden part is in multiple-joint glue-laminated timber (Capoferri patent) entirely built in our laboratories, usually 80 mm thick to which a 3-mm thick metal cladding is applied. The cladding consists of a frame welded on the four corners with continuous and invisible welding. The metal is fixed to the wood by means of stainless steel elements, taking into account the various problems that come up from the two different materials being jointed together. Depending on the size, style or composition of the requested glass panes, we make frames with different patterns and thickness. The hardware is mostly designed and built in our mechanical workshop. The wooden or metal frames can be built with manual or automated openings. These openings are designed and built entirely within our company, with cutting-edge materials and components.
